Ruthin Town XI beat Manchester United Legends On Penalties

A large and excited crowd turned up at the Memorial Ground, Ruthin to welcome Manchester United legends Bryan Robson and Denis Irwin show off their skills in what turned out to be a pulsating encounter. The charity game was organised in order to help raise funds for the renovation work of the football and cricket club facilities and was hailed as a tremendous success. In a topsy turvy game goals were plentiful with the match finishing 4-4 after 90 minutes and Ruthin winning the resulting penalty shootout 7-6.
